Trager Bags Transcontinental Laptop Trager Bags: Transcontinental Laptop

Ready to roll on a moment's notice. Dedicated file compartment and cell phone pocket.

When was the last time you had more than two week's notice for an upcoming business trip? Well-planned and anticipated trips are as rare as the mythical two-week vacation. That's why the Trager Transcontinental Laptop is the perfect laptop carryon that's ready to go anywhere on a moment's notice. It's a bigger redesigned version of Trager's best selling Vertical Laptop Brief/Pack with a dedicated file compartment for added capacity. It features a zippered side cell phone pocket and a front flap storage compartment for extra peripherals and cables. Carry it using the padded shoulder strap or the beefy "Love Handle" luggage grip. If you gotta go someplace for work the Trager Transcontinental is the best way to take your office on the road.

A roomy bag with versatile carrying options and avg org options Image: 3 Stars

The Tranger Transcontinental bag is roomy and has plenty of carrying options (handle shoulder strap backpack style). The organization of pockets on the inside is average and the lack of velcro or zippered closures is a bit inconvenient. The flap pocket is marginally useful and the first set of inside compartments could use a zipper down the sides to provide better access. For the money I expected a bit better design functionality.

This bag is absolutely everything I was hoping for. Plenty of room for everything I routinely carry (laptop book or two papers pens phone power/phone cords PDA lunch etc...) with plenty of pockets and compartments for organization. It is really well made with sturdy buckles and clips and feels great as a back pack or over the shoulder. I was prepared for the inconvenience of the front flap covering all the internal compartments because I had gone through the reviews before buying. Yes it's a little inconvenient BUT was greatly appreciated in a recent driving rain. I doubt the contents of the bag would have stayed as dry if the zippers had been exposed. I also read complaints about the bag falling over when it is stood upright. Yes sometimes it does but it doesn't bother me a bit. It's funny - I bought the Transcontinental to replace my laptop briefcase which was just too bulky. Although capacity is about the same it is significantly easier to move around the urban jungle with the Transcontinental.
