Things To Do

The Coeur d'Alene Lake Parkway lies along the north shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene following the North Idaho Centennial Trail east from Coeur d'Alene to Higgens Point. At Higgens Point there is a boat launch facility and a group picnic area overlooking the lake and moorage docks.

Over one half-mile of public shoreline parallels the path. Also available are an exercise course, roadside picnic tables, restroom facilities and benches for those who wish to stop and just enjoy the lake view. In addition, Higgens Point offers a group use area available by reservation April through October. From Bennett Bay area, the soaring Veterans Memorial Bridge on Interstate 90 is visible. Bald Eagle watching is also a popular activity in December and January.

Coeur d'Alene Parkway is proud to manage a portion of the North Idaho Centennial Trail, which is a part of the Millennium Legacy trail system.

The Parkway is located adjacent to Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive and may be accessed either by taking Exit 15 (Sherman Ave) from Interstate 90, or from the Coeur d'Alene city center by going east on Sherman Avenue and turning right onto Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive.
