Eagle Island State Park
Overview
Eagle Island is a 545-acre day-use park west of Boise that features a popular swimming beach, a grassy picnic area, a waterslide and more than five miles of trails for those looking for a place to ride horses, hike, walk your dog or play disc golf.
The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation manages 30 state parks. They also run the registration program for snowmobiles, boats and off-highway vehicles. Money from registrations and other sources goes to develop and maintain trails, facilities and programs statewide for the people who use those vehicles. The agency manages a series of outdoor recreation grant programs that provide facilities and services to a wide variety of recreationists and the local governmental and nongovernmental organizations that serve them.
Idaho State Park Annual Passports offer tremendous savings for individuals or families planning to frequent their Idaho State Parks this year, by providing unlimited vehicle access until December 31st of the purchase year.
