Coming Soon!

Thank you for your visiting our website, "Oh, Ranger!". We are currently in the process of rebuilding a lot of our new site. Please check back soon! In the meantime, if you have questions or comments, feel free to post them here. We can do our job a lot better with your feedback!

Mt. Rainier NP

MRNP seems to be implementing a program of selective access contrary to it's official policies. Many backcountry travelers feel disenfranchised and it is time for the park management to recognize their responsibility to facilitate access to the people to whom the park belongs.

Mount Rainier National Park

MRNP doesn't like skiers!!!!
The backcountry skiing community in Washington state has a growing rift with the policies of the Mount Rainier National Park. They apply rules arbitrarily and have poorly trained volunteers. The park superintendent has for years tried to close down access into the park from the adjacent Crystal ski aea and closes down legal access to the White River in the winter by selctively plowing the road to prevent legal snowmobile access.

The Sunrise area was puprosely opened late this year to prevent skier access even though there are credible reports that park rangers where skiing up there and boasting about it while the skiing public was excluded.

This park has grave problems and gaining access to talk to them about their mismanagement is impossible.

vacation

I am trying to find a place to fish, golf, etc. that has cottages to rent that would accommodate 6 grownups. Location should be mid west to west Ilinois.

We are from Indianapolis, IN

Yellowstone Photos

Fantastic photographs. I was at the park in June 2007 and took alot of photos. These are way better than mine. Great website.
