Highway 120 connects US 395 and the Mono Basin National Forest Scenic Area with the east entrance to Yosemite National Park. This 12 mile route climbs through spectacular and rugged Lee Vining Canyon to Tioga Pass, connecting Great Basin landscapes with the peaks, alpine meadows, and tarns of the Sierra Nevada. At 9,945 feet, the route is the highest vehicle crossing in the Sierra Nevada Range.
