Jamestown Reservoir
Overview
Jamestown Dam and Reservoir are features of the PSMBP - Jamestown Dam. Located in central North Dakota the reservoir provides flood protection to areas downstream. The reservoir covers 2,095 surface acres and has 45 miles of shoreline. It is located 2 miles north of Jamestown and features a modern campground, concession, boat rental, primitive camping. Public use area open 7 days a week. Overnight camping, water, and electric hookups. Available species include pike, walleye, crappie, bluegill, small mouth bass, muskie, and bullhead. The area is managed for Reclamation by the Stutsman County Park Board.

Boating
Several boat ramps and a marina with boat rentals are available.
Bicycling

Camping
Both primitive and modern campsites with shower facilities are available.
Fishing
The reservoir is stocked with fish by the North Dakota Game and Fish Department. Available fish species include pike, walleye, crappie, bluegill, small mouth bass, muskie, and bullhead.
Hunting
The reservoir is one of the greatest migratory waterfowl flyways in North Dakota.
Picnicking
8 picnic areas with 7 shelters meet the demand of this popular picnicking area.
RVing
Electrical hookups and two RV sanitary stations are available within the campgrounds.
Water Sports
Two swim areas and plenty of opportunity for other water sports make this a popular summertime destination.
