Prescribed Fire Planned for Area in Kings Canyon National Park

Starting on Friday, fire crews plan to conduct a prescribed fire on over 1,000 acres in the Cedar Grove of Kings Canyon National Park, park officials announced late Wednesday. The fire, which which will help rid the forest floor of accumulated brush, will be completed within two to three days and will only result in one trail closure, officials said.
