Smittle Creek Trail

The Smittle Creek Trail offers day-users a variety of recreational opportunities including fishing, wildlife viewing, beach activities, swimming, hiking, and picnicking. The trail is ideal for a day-hike and currently is the only developed
trail on the lake. The walk is a pleasant easy-to-moderate 2.6 mile hike or five mile round trip along the shore through open grasslands giving the hiker a chance to view the natural flora and fauna of the area. The trail is located 8 miles north of State Route 128 on Knoxville Road just two miles north of Oak Shores Day Use Area.
