Leesville Lake was constructed primarily for flood control, recreation, fish and wildlife enhancement. Leesville Lake is a popular camping spot for youth and church groups. Recreation facilities at the Corps Leesville Lake are operated by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD). Visit their website at: www.mwcdlakes.com. Two marinas are located on the lake, being operated by private enterprises. Clow's Marina @ (740) 269-5371 and Petersburg Marina @ (330) 627-4270. Both marinas have boat rentals, snack bar, and related goods and services. Golden Age and Golden Access and other Federal recreation passports are not honored at MWCD facilities.
