Lords Lake NWR is located in eastern Bottineau and western Rolette Counties, North Dakota. It is and easement refuge where the FWS acquired the right to maintain a water level and control hunting. Land remains under private ownership and control. The lake receives significant waterfowl use, especially during migration periods. Between 50,000 and 100,000 snow geese stage on the refuge during fall migration.
