Overview

Cheboygan State Park is open all year for a variety of activities. A system of well-marked trails through the park provides access to scenic Lake Huron vistas, glimpses of rare wildflowers and the lake shore species. Modern camping, rustic cabins, and teepees are all available within the park. The Little Billy Elliot Creek flows through the park and is known for its trout. Fishing is also plentiful in Duncan Bay.

Activities

  • Boating

    Carry-in boat launch. Access to Duncan Bay.

  • Bicycling

    Nearly seven miles of trails on Red, Black, Blue, Yellow and Green trail loops are shared with hikers.

  • Camping

    There are several camping sites available.

  • Fishing

    Northern pike, small and large mouth bass and pan fish can be found in the Bay. Little Bill Elliot Creek, which flows through the park, is well known for its speckled brown trout.

    In 1851, the Cheboygan Point Light was originally built on a pier in Lake Huron. A rich history, worth historical/cultural touring.

    Picnicking is encouraged. Picnic area and picnic shelter

  • RVing

    Contact park about RV oppurtunities.

  • Water Sports

    Water sports include swimming, fishing, and boating. Beach house, sandy beach, and boat launch on site.

  • Winter Sports

    Cross country skiing - Several well-marked trails provide expansive winter vistas of the Lake Huron shoreline and inland natural areas.

Driving

Take I-75 to exit 326 go East straight through the town of Cheboygan to US 23, continue 3 miles East of town to park entrance on North side of the road.
