Cougar Rock Campground lies along the Longmire - Paradise Road between Longmire and Paradise at an elevation of 3,180 feet. The site consists of 200 individual campsites and five group sites. (Each group site can accommodate 10 to 24 campers.) The site is open from late May through mid-October with reservations required from July 1 through Labor Day.
Amenities at the Cougar Rock Campground include drinking water, flush-type toilets, a trailer dump station, refuse and recycling cans, an and amphitheater. Each site consists of a picnic table and fire grate. Some sites are accessible for individuals using wheelchairs, call for availability. There are no RV hookups and no showers. This site provides access to hiking, picnicking and fishing.
