Logan State Park
Overview
Logan State Park is located in northwest Montana. With frontage on the north shore of Middle Thompson Lake, Logan is heavily forested with western larch, Douglas-fir, and ponderosa pine. A channel connects Upper, Middle and Lower Thompson lakes. Attractions include swimming, boating, camping, horseshoe pit, water skiing, and good fishing. The campground offers tent and trailer sites, restrooms and drinking water. At an elevation of 3,333 feet, the park covers 18 acres. There are 41 total campsites, five tent sites and 41 trailer sites. The RV/trailer size limit is 30 feet in length. There is a group use area, flush toilets, RV dump station, grills/fire rings, firewood, picnic tables, showers, trash-cans, and drinking water. A horseshoe pit and playground is also available for visitor use. This is a heavily forested, scenic area.
Activities

Boating
A dock, hand launch, and concrete ramp provide access to Middle Thompson Lake for motorized and non-motorized boats.

Bicycling
Bicycling on roads and designated trails is a great way to explore the park.

Camping
The campground includes amenities such as running water, showers, toilets, firewood, and ice. A group site is available by reservation.

Fishing
Middle Lake Thompson provides ample opportunities for fishing.

Hiking
A half-mile walking trail departs Logan and follows the shoreline of Middle Thompson Lake offering excellent bird watching opportunities.

Picnicking
A picnic site with tables, grills, and fire rings is available for visitors.

RVing
RV sites with electric hookups are available, as is a dump station.

Water Sports
Middle Lake Thompson provides opportunties for water sports, including swimming, boating, and water skiing.
