Cavallo Point is located in Fort Baker, just across the Golden Gate Bridge. We are just seven miles from downtown San Francisco; five miles from San Francisco's Marina District & Union Street's shops, restaurants and movies; and one mile from the charming town of Sausalito. Ideally situated in the heart of the Bay Area, this extraordinary site fronts the San Francisco Bay. It is also part of the Golden Gate National Parks, one of the world's largest urban national parks. Within minutes, guests can walk the Pacific Ocean's beaches, ride a cable car in downtown San Francisco or hike the Marin Headlands. Other favorite regional destinations, including the Napa or Sonoma Valley Wine Country, Monterey or Carmel, are easy drives of an hour or two.
There is easy access from Cavallo Point to San Francisco by car, bus and ferry. All three Bay Area airports are just a short drive away: San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is 30 minutes; OAK, Oakland International Airport (OAK) is 50 minutes; and San Jose International Airport (SJC) is 70 minutes.
For guests arriving at SFO who prefer not to rent a car, the Marin Airporter bus is available from SFO to Sausalito. Cavallo Point provides complimentary pick up from the bus stop.
