NOTE: Shelvers Grove State Recreation Area is currently closed due to high water in Devils Lake. Shelvers Grove State Recreation Area is a popular overnight camping spot for motorists traveling across northern North Dakota on U.S. Highway 2. The area has campsites with electrical hookups and modern comfort station, picnic shelters and a playground. The park is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
