Blue River State Recreation Area is 30 miles west and south of Lincoln, NE on Highway 6. It is 5 miles North of Dorchester, NE.

From Lincoln : Head west on O St/US-34 toward S 12th Street Continue to follow O St , 3.0 miles Take the ramp onto I-80 W , 14.7 miles Take exit 382 for US-6 toward Milford , 0.3 miles Turn left at NE-2/L-80H Link/Matzke Rd N (signs for Milford) , 0.6 miles Continue straight onto US-6

From Doechester : Head north on NE-76B/Washington Ave toward NE-33 49 feet Turn left at NE-33 , 0.5 miles Turn right at W Line St , 0.4 miles Continue on State Spur 76B/Westline Rd , 0.2 miles Continue straight onto NE-76B , 0.4 miles Turn right at NE-15/US-6

From Milford : Head west on 5th St/US-6 toward S D Street Continue to follow US-6 , 7.8 miles
