Overview

Bedell Bridge State Park, located along the Connecticut River, is 38 acres in size and a great place for picnicking, fishing, or boating. A Fish and Game boat launch is located within the park.

The park was once a floodplain farmland and the site of a historic two-span covered bridge, the second longest in the country. The Burr-tuss bridge, which connected New Hampshire to Vermont, was destroyed by wind in 1979 and is no longer there.

Bedell Bridge State Park is unstaffed but is open to the public year-round at no charge.
