Boating is one of the most popular sports at Conchas Lake. Boats here range from canoes to sailboats to large cabin cruisers and house-boats.

  • Camping

Camping opportunities range from primitive sites to developed sites with hookups.

  • Fishing

The lake is regularly stocked by the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. The best times to catch walleye and crappie are spring and fall. Anglers can catch channel catfish, bluegill, large-mouth bass, bullhead, and sunfish year-round.

Golfing is available at the non-profit Conchas Golf Course.

  • RVing

Developed RV sites are available with sewage, electrical, and water hook-ups.

  • Water Sports

Water-skiing and the use of personal water-craft are popular in summer, and because the wind blows at 15-miles per hour, more than half the time, the lake is being discovered by windsurfers. Although there are no designated swimming beaches, snorkeling, swimming, and scuba diving in the clear water are permitted in most areas.
