NASPD Plants Tree at Eagle Nest Lake State Park

September 30, 2010, 8:38 am

As NASPD's 2010 Official Green Sponsor, American Park Network planted a commemorative tree at New Mexico's Eagle Nest Lake State Park.

The blue spruce planted in front of the park's new environmentally-friendly visitor center honors the importance of sustainability and consciousness in the work that NASPD attendees do at parks and public lands across the country. It also serves as a reminder of hundreds more trees that American Park Network will plant in Angeles National Forest to offset the carbon footprint of the entire NASPD 2010 conference.

American Park Network would like to thank New Mexico for being such wonderful hosts and thank NASPD attendees for doing your part to help make NASPD a green gathering and bringing that spirit and commitment home to your parks.
