Overview

Explore sparkling waters surrounded by low, rocky hills dotted with pinon and juniper. Santa Rosa Lake State Park offers a variety of water sports which include fishing, boating, water-skiing, canoeing, and wildlife viewing. Anglers usually have excellent luck fishing for large-mouth and small-mouth bass, channel-catfish, walleye and crappie. There are two short, easy trails, both paved and fully-accessible. A few trails also lead from Rocky Point Campground down a rocky slope to the lake. If you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of mule deer, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, foxes, or coyotes as they come in for water.
