Kurtz Woods Natural Area

This beautiful forest gives visitors an Alice in Wonderland down-the-rabbit-hole experience. As you explore this area you will find yourself suddenly transported into a rolling, wooded wonderland. The forest is dominated by sugar maple and American beech, with small numbers of basswood, white ash, and black cherry. Kurtz Woods is owned by The Ozaukee Washington Land Trust and was designated a State Natural Area in 1981.
