Overview
Canoe-Picnic Point State Park is only reachable by boat, offering a quiet camping experience in a wooded area with plenty of dock space available. Just south of the camping area is Picnic Point, a picnic ground with a beautiful picnic gazebo, shore dinner cooking facility and dockage. The fishing is excellent.

Camping
Camping/cabin reservations: 5/28-9/5. To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. Please Note that during peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation. Patron must be 18 or older to register for a site. This Park operates under a 2-day window for advance reservations.
Fishing
The fishing is excellent.
Hiking
Hiking trails are available for use.
Hunting
Waterfowl hunting is permitted in season.
Picnicking
Picnic Point, a picnic ground with a beautiful picnic gazebo, shore dinner cooking facility and dockage.

Located on the northeast end of Grindstone Island, facing Eel Bay and the Canadian Channel. Best access is from either Wellesley Island just over the Thousand Islands bridge or from Grass Point State Park on Rte 12, 1 mile south of the Thousand Islands Bridge.
