Cumberland Bay State Park, on the west shore of Lake Champlain, is a very popular day-use area because of its large natural sand beach and picnic grounds with tables and grills. The park has a playground and playing fields. Cross-country runners frequent the park in the fall.

  • Camping

    With over 152 accessible campsites open from early May through mid-October (reservations can be made ahead of time), a wide variety of people can enjoy what Cumberland Bay State Park has to offer. The campgrounds offers showers (accessible), playgrounds, and baseball fields. For campers, if your site allows pets, there is a two-pet maximum.

  • Picnicking

    Cumberland Bay State Park's food pavilions and picnic grounds, located around Lake Champlain, are accessible to all individuals. Within the picnic grounds there are grills and tables provided for public use. After you eat, feel free to start up a game of kickball on one of the playing fields or a friendly game of tag on the playground with your group.

  • RVing

    RVing is permitted within the Cumberland Bay State Park. There are accessible trailer sites and dumping stations on the grounds, as well as public use showers for your convenience. Please call ahead for details.

  • Water Sports

    The park offers a large natural sand beach. Swimming is availabel Mid- June through Labor Day Weekend.
