Overview

Delta Lake State Park is located on a peninsula extending into Delta Reservoir. You'll find the terrain is wooded and generally flat. Year-round visitors can enjoy the day in one of many picnic areas, or on one of the many hiking and nature trails. There is also a boat launch and shoreline fishing for trout, pike, bass, bullhead and perch. Campers can enjoy 101 tent, trailer or RV camping sites and there is a sandy beach with swimming in the summer. For winter visitors there are cross-country ski trails.

Activities

  • Boating

    There is an available boat launch for public use. The boat launch is open from early May through October, weather permitting. Powerboat and non motorized watercrafts are allowed to use the boat launch.

  • Bicycling

    The terrain is wooded and generally flat, perfect for an afternoon ride over one of the many trails within Delta Lake State Park.

  • Camping

    Delta Lake State Park has a variety of tent and trailer sites for public use. Camping season opens mid-May and runs through Columbus Day. The park features: showers, a nature trail, picnic tables and pavilions, and a playground. There are also camper recreation programs, as well as a camper assistance program if necessary. Only household pets are permitted in the camping area; caged or on a leash not more than 6 feet.

  • Fishing

    Shoreline fishing is a popular activity for the public in Delta Lake State Park. Popular catches include trout, pike, bass, bullhead and perch.

  • Hiking

    A woody, but flat terrain makes Delta Lake State Park a good place for an afternoon hike on the park's miles of hiking and nature trails anytime of the year.

  • Picnicking

    Visitors can enjoy the day in one of many picnic areas or spend time exploring the park's miles of hiking and nature trails. Picnic grounds are open year-round with picnic tables, pavilions, and a playground available for public use.

  • RVing

    Campers can enjoy a night at one of the many RV camping sites available at Delta Lake State Park. Camping season opens mid-May and runs through Columbus Day. The park features: dumping stations, showers, a nature trail, picnic tables and pavilions, and a playground. There are also camper recreation programs, as well as a camper assistance program. Only household pets are permitted in the camping area; caged or on a leash not more than 6 feet.

  • Water Sports

    A sandy beach (with lifeguards) is open mid-June thru Labor Day at Delta Lake State Park. Pets are not allowed in the bathing areas. Water sports are permitted in Delta Lake State Park, with a boat launch available (during the summer months weather permitting) for ease of entry and exit from the water.

  • Winter Sports

    Ice fishing is permitted in the park during the winter season. The trails are open during the winter months for those who enjoy snowmobiling and cross-country skiing, as well as hiking or birding.
