Overview

Pinnacle State Park has breathtaking views and tremendous vistas, including the Canisteo River Valley, Harris Hill and the village of Addison. The park is known for its challenging 9-hole golf course, but visitors can enjoy many other recreational activities, including hiking or cross-country skiing on 11 miles of trails. Anglers can fish for bass, bluegill or bullheads in Levi Pond. Hunters can go after deer, turkey or small game in season and picnickers can relax and enjoy the scenery.

Activities

  • Bicycling

    Bicycle paths make their way over the rolling hills and through the park, making for an exciting spot for an afternoon bike ride!

  • Fishing

    Anglers can fish for bass, bluegill or bullheads in Levi Pond.

  • Golfing

    Pinnacle State Park Golf Course sits on a magnificent parcel of land. With rolling terrain, the course rises from the Canisteo River which is 980 feet above sea level, to the top of Orr Hill which is 1,725 feet above sea level. Although this is a 9-hole course, white and blue tee markers are alternated to provide an 18-hole challenge. Golfers can practice on the putting grees and chipping course, take a couple of swings at the driving range, or relax after a busy day of golfing at the course restaurant. The course is open from April until November.

  • Hiking

    With over 10 miles of trails, Pinnacle State Park is an excellent place to go to for a day hike. The rolling hills climb almost 1,000 ft and offer amazing views of the surrounding country.

  • Hunting

    Hunters can go after deer, turkey or small game when in season.

  • Picnicking

    Picnickers can relax and enjoy the views and tremendous vistas, including the Canisteo River Valley, Harris Hill and the village of Addison. You can spread out your picnic basket on one of the many tables and cook up your burgers on the grills nearby. Picnic shelters are also available for public use.

  • Winter Sports

    Once the snow begins to fall, visitors can strike out on groomed cross-country ski trails or tramp through the snow to look out at the tremendous view of the Canisteo River Valley, Harris Hill and the village of Addison.

Route 17 to Route 15s, to Route 417 West to the village of Addison. Signs will point towards Pinnacle State Park.
