Taughannock Falls plunges 215 feet past rocky cliffs that tower nearly 400 feet above the gorge. This feature alone draws thousands of campers each year to this 74-site campground. Sixteen sites have electric hookup, in addition, there are 16 cabins (handicapped accessible). Flush toilets, scrubbing sink, hot showers and potable water are found throughout the wooded campground. The fabulous Gorge Trail and several overlooks are within walking distance from the campground. Sitting on the shores of Cayuga Lake, fishing is enjoyed in both the lake and Taughannock Creek. Campers enjoy the park's recreation programs, swimming beach, archery hunting, boat launch, boat rental, concession and playground. In-line skating is permitted on campground roads. In winter, visitors enjoy cross-country skiing, ice skating and sledding.
