Bernice State Park Nature Center
Overview
The Nature Center at Bernice State Park on Grand Lake features fascinating exhibits about the area's native wildlife. Watch bees busy with their hive, come face to face with a taxidermied bobcat and other mammals, or relax in front of the 1,000-gallon aquarium and watch snakes and lizards in their habitats. The nature center also offers classroom facilities, tours and has a full-time Naturalist on site.
Visitors to Bernice State Park will find semi-modern RV sites and tent campsites, comfort stations with showers, a boat ramp, a courtesy boat dock for loading and unloading, several pleasant picnic areas, and a playground in the park. In addition, a one-mile fully accessible paved walking and jogging path is conveniently located in the park and allows visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the park's natural settings. Two wildlife watch towers in the park offer visitors the possibility of glimpsing some of the area's interesting wildlife.
