Overview

Just a few of the incredible recreation opportunities at Okmulgee State Park include swimming, fishing, hiking, bicycling, and more! This park offers numerous exciting opportunities for visitors to enjoy the regions abundant lakes and forests. In terms of overnight accommodations, the park features 75 RV sites with showers and a dump station, as well as 50 rustic tent sites. Okmulgee State Park also features lighted boat ramps and docks, which provide year-round access to several lakes in the area. The park also includes numerous picnic areas and picnic pavilions, some of which also have outdoor grills.

A three-mile hiking trail, part of which is fully accessible, attracts nature lovers to Okmulgee State Park. The park is located adjacent to Dripping Springs State Park and Dripping Springs Lake, both of which offer additional outdoor recreation opportunities. A nearby public hunting area is also located on the north side of Okmulgee Lake.

Seasonality/Weather

During the winter, all restrooms with the exception of one located in the Red Oak campground are closed. The campgrounds remain open for camping with electric service, water service and boat ramp facilities available year-round. The park also offers various seasonal and holiday events.

Driving

From I-40, take Exit 240 (Highway 75). The park is located six miles west of Okmulgee on Highway 56.
