Also known as the "Park of the Five Civilized Tribes," Sequoyah Bay State Park is a beautiful paradise for water sports and camping. Sequoyah Bay State Park is located on the shores of Fort Gibson Lake, which offers 19,100 surface acres and 225 miles of shoreline for visitors to enjoy. A variety of water sports are available and lakefront camping is plentiful. The park features 77 semi-modern RV sites with water and electric hook-ups, 48 semi-modern RV sites designated for groups, two dump stations and 113 regular tent sites. Visitors who prefer to enjoy the lake in a less rustic setting can rent one of the park's sleeping cabins, which provide the feeling of a natural, outdoor setting while still enabling visitors to sleep on comfortable, indoor beds. Amenities in the park include three boat ramps, five comfort stations with showers, a swimming beach, picnic tables, three playgrounds, a softball/baseball diamond, basketball court, volleyball net, nature trail, four group shelter picnic facilities with water and electricity and a park office for reservations, rentals and firewood.

    Visit the Sequoyah Bay Marina, a full-service marina featuring gas, food, ice, bait, tackle, boat rentals, slips, fishing dock and cabin rentals.

  • Camping

  • Fishing

    The marina at Sequoyah Bay State Park offers indoor fishing, as well as supplies for venturing out onto the Fort Gibson Reservoir.

  • Hunting

    Hunting is not permitted.

  • Picnicking

    110 picnic tables and four picnic shelters with electricity and water in the park offer relaxing settings for park visitors to enjoy an outdoor meal.

  • RVing

    RV users will find 30 and 50 amp service as well as water service and a dump site.

  • Tennis

    The tennis court is a great way for visitors to the park to enjoy exercising in the area's natural, fresh air.

  • Water Sports

    A variety of water sports can be enjoyed in the Fort Gibson Reservoir.


The park is open year-round, though some activities, such as swimming, may be best enjoyed seasonally.
