This Corps area is leased to the State of Nebraska. Olive Creek is located 1.5 miles east of Kramer, Nebraska. Draining 8.2 square miles on the south tributary of Olive Branch Creek, this reservoir is 1.2 miles in total length with four miles of shoreline. A State Park Permit is required for entry except in wildlife management areas. This is a small 175-acre lake has lots to offer the weekend warrior.   • Boating

    Boating is allowed, but speed is limited to 5 mph.

  • Camping

    This state recreation area has a total of 50 campsites. Amenities include a boat ramp, vault toilets, and drinking water.

  • Fishing

    For the sportsman among us, crappie, largemouth bass, bluegill, carp, channel and flathead catfish thrive in the 174-acre lake.

  • Hunting

    Hunting is allowed on the 480 acres of land surrounding the lake. Resident wildlife includes ring-necked pheasant, bobwhite quail, mourning dove, cottontail rabbit, squirrel, waterfowl, and white-tailed deer.

  • Picnicking

    This state recreation area has two picnic sites. Amenities include a boat ramp, vault toilets, and drinking water.

  • Water Sports

    Popular for paddle, kayak, and row boating, a 5 mph speed limit is enforced. Easy does it.

  • Winter Sports

    Come explore as frigid winter temperature transform the lake into a winter wonderland! Ice fishing avaliable, please observe all local laws and restrictions.



Thirty miles southwest of downtown Lincoln, NE and 1.5 miles east of Kramer, NE. The entrance is on SW 100th Street between W. Princeton Road and W. Olive Creek Road.
