Humbug Mountain State Park
Overview
The park and campground are dominated by Humbug Mountain (elevation 1,756 feet) and surrounded by forested hills. The campground enjoys some of the warmest weather on the Oregon coast as the surrounding mountains offer protection from cool ocean breezes. Many visitors enjoy windsurfing and scuba diving. Hiking to the top of Humbug Mountain is a major activity.

Hiking
A portion of the 360-mile Oregon Coast Trail winds through Humbug Mountain State Park. From Battle Rock City Park in Port Orford, the trail follows the beach to Rocky Point. From Rocky Point, it crosses U.S. 101 and continues along the Old Coast Hwy 101. Hiking to the top of Humbug Mountain is a major activity. See the Humbug Mountain Trail Guide (PDF above).
RVing
The campground enjoys some of the warmest weather on the Oregon coast as the surrounding mountains offer protection from cool ocean breezes. 32 electrical (maximum site 55 feet). The nearest RV waste dump station is at the Chevron in Port Orford.
Water Sports
Many visitors enjoy windsurfing and scuba diving.
Seasonality/Weather
Open year-round. The campground will be closed for improvements beginning Sept. 7. The day-use area and trails will remain open during construction.
