
Pecos National Historical Park
Overview
Dive into over 12,000 years of rich cultural history at Pecos National Historical Park. The ancient pueblo of Pecos, Spanish mission ruins, and ruts of the Santa Fe Trail, are a few of the available sites that reveal the impact of geography on human experience. The visitor center contains exhibits, a bookstore and a 10-minute introductory film. You cannot miss the one and a quarter mile self-guided trail that winds through Pecos pueblo and the historic mission ruins.
Seasonality/Weather
From June through September, daytime temperatures may exceed 90-degrees Fahrenheit. Winter temperatures often drop below 32-degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures may range 50-degrees in a 24-hour period.

Driving
The park is located 25-miles east of Santa Fe, New Mexico, off of Interstate 25. Visitors traveling north on I-25, take exit 299 on to HWY 50 to Pecos Village and south two-miles on HWY 63. Those traveling south take exit 307, five-miles north to the park on HWY 63.
