Price Canyon Recreation Area
Price Canyon Recreation Area offers all visitors a chance to enjoy cooler temperatures and the shade of large ponderosa pine trees during the summer. The recreation area is located on a ridge high above Price Canyon. The entrance road, a scenic overlook accessible by automobile, and a hiking trail, provide excellent views of rugged canyon country. Deer are frequently observed and it is a great picnic area. The camping area has 18 sites, offers drinking water and bathrooms, and has RV sites. The recreation area's elevation is 8000 ft. There is a self-guided nature walk through the forest of oak, pines, and mountain mahogany to the ridge top. The top of the trail offers fantastic overlooks of the canyon. Possible activities nearby the recreation area include: camping, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking, scenic driving and wildlife viewing. Reservations are required for group sites. Great place to see a sunset and watch wildlife.
Large, well-spaced campsites are available. Facilities at the campground include picnic tables, fire pits, vault toilets, drinking water, trash receptacles, and parking spaces.
Hiking and backpacking trails are abundant.
Horseback riding is available.

Price Canyon Recreation Area is normally open from the middle of May through the middle of October.
The Price Canyon Recreation Area is 12 miles north of Price, Utah. Take U.S. Highway 50 & 6 north from Price and turn left at the entrance sign. From the highway, drive up the mountain three miles to the recreation site. A paved entrance road winds up a steep hill to a junction from which you may proceed directly to the Price Canyon Overlook, the campground or the picnic area.
