Congratulations on your decision to visit our most iconic national park!. August is a wonderful time to visit the park and I think you made a great decision.

The lodging in Yellowstone National Park is operated by Xanterra Parks & Resorts.

Seeing as it's your first trip, I would recommend the Old Faithful Inn, as it is the most requested lodging facility in the park and it's also a national historic landmark! Seeing as it's so late in the season, however, you may not be able to book a room.

There are many other beautiful hotels that will make your first trip to Yellowstone unforgettable. In total, you have a choice of nine distinctly different Yellowstone lodging properties and experiences, all located in the park. Aside from the Old Faithful Inn, these include the Canyon Lodge & Cabins, Grant Village, Lake Lodge Cabins, Lake Yellowstone Hotel & Cabins, Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel & Cabins, Old Faithful Inn, Old Faithful Lodge Cabins, Old Faithful Snow Lodge & Cabins and Roosevelt Lodge & Cabins.

Visit their website at http://www.travelyellowstone.com/lodging-71.html for information about accomodations or phone 307-344-7311 or 1-866-GEYSERLAND (439-7375) for reservation information. Accommodations range from rustic cabins to luxury suites.
