There are six ranger districts within the forest, each with multiple campgrounds. You can find information on all of them on the Tonto National Forest website at http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/tonto/recreation/rec-camping-index.shtml, where you can click on the district and get detailed information on all the campgrounds. There's also no better recommendation than one based on local knowledge.  As such, I highly recommend that you reach out to the local forest rangers, share your specific requirements and see what they suggest.  I'm sure that they'll be glad to help.  You can reach them at the Tonto National Forest information desk at 602-225-5200.  Have a great time and be sure to come back to OhRanger.com to share your experiences, ask more questions and maybe even answer a few from other members of the community.
