A great hike is the Wasatch Crest Ridge Connector.  Utah.com lists it as a "moderate climb to the Wasatch Crest trail and upper Millcreek Canyon. In the shade all day."

This is a link to a map of a lot of the hikes in the Canyons area which is just down the road from Deer Valley.  You can also try the Park City Chamber of Commerce at (435) 649-6100.

Deer Valley is a great place for hiking! We've got an insider tip from the Deer Valley blog:

My favorite hike at Deer Valley is leaving from the Snow Park area and taking the Tour de Homes trail up to Silver Lake. There is nothing better than being outside taking in that deep breath of mountain air!

You can find details about this trail, and others in the area, at utah.com.

There is a great paved hike at Timpanogos Cave National Monument that you might want to consider, especially if you are traveling with kids and want to do something other than hike. The 1.5 mile trail has an 1,160 feet elevation gain tand has spectular views of the surrounding American Fork Canyon and the  communities within the Utah Valley. While you are hiking, you might see some of the more than  100 mammal, reptile and bird species that inhabit the park. The trail is extremely steep, and wheelchairs and strollers are not recommended.

Not surprisingly, the main attraction at Timpanogos is its cave system, which is only accessible by ranger guided tour. The cave consists of three spectacular cavern is decorated with many colorful features, including helictites, which are like rock tubes thought to form when water travels throguh the tube and evaporates, leaving a mineral deposit at the end.

Timpanogos cave is only open during the summer time and your trip is perfectly timed to check out this amazing site. To get there, take Interstate 15 take Exit 284 (Alpine-Highland exit), then turn east on State Highway 92 and proceed ten miles (16km) to the monument.

Happy Trails.
