Historically, the Glacier National Park receives the least amount of precipitation in August— an average 1.45 inches of rain. During this time, Glacier experiences the most pleasant weather, with daily highs nearing 80 degrees. If you don't mind cooler weather, September is also a great month to visit. There isn't much more rain (only a half inch), leaves start changing colors, bears are more visible as they start preparing for hibernation and the park is less crowded as kids head back to school.
