Overview

A beautifully remote, 67-acre woodland park with panoramic views of the Potomac River. There are three miles of hiking trails and a series of scenic overlooks. Perch on a bluff and see a wide variety of birds, or look across the river to view blue foothills.

  • Bird Watching

    Many different birds migrate through Red Rock. See yellow-bellied sapsuckers, warblers, vireos, white-throated sparrows, winter wrens and both ruby-crowned and golden-crowned kinglets.

  • Hiking

    Enjoy the wildlife and views of the Potomac River as you hike the short nature trail that loops through the park.

Directions: To reach Red Rock from the Beltway (I-495), exit onto Route 7, drive west, just before Leesburg, exit onto Highway 15, north to Edwards Ferry Road (Route 773), take a right on Edwards Ferry and drive 1.5 miles to park entrance
