East Matunuck State Beach

East Matunuck State Beach

This area is popular during the summer season for swimming and off-season for walking. Its pavilion offers a scenic view of the sand dunes within Succotash Salt Marsh, a state-managed wetlands conservation area. On a sunny day, Block Island is clearly visible on the horizon. Public parking is available year round, but requires a daily fee in the summer. Lifeguards are on duty here in-season. Facilities consist of restrooms, concessions, a pavilion and picnic tables.

Succotash Salt Marsh

If you have any stories about the Succotash Salt Marsh and you would like to share them email me at josephcouellette@live.com

Presently I am taking photographs of the area and would like to read some stories about the experiences people have there (what they do, why, when) at any time or season.

Thanks

Joe Ouellette
