The Colorado River Picnic Ground is located just off Highway 34, along the Colorado River, at the north end of the Kawuneeche Valley. This picnic area is on the west side of the park at the Colorado River Trailhead. There are six tables and four fire rings.

Directions from Grand Lake: Travel north on Hwy 34 through the Grand Lake Entrance Station to the Colorado River Trailhead and Picnic Area.
