The Timber Lake Picnic Ground is located at the Timber Lake Trailhead, just off Highway 34, on the west side of the park. The Colorado River Trailhead and picnic area is located just across Highway 34 from the Timber Lake Picnic Area. The area has eight sites.

Directions
Directions from Grand Lake: Travel north on Hwy 34 through the Grand Lake Entrance Station. Contiue about 2 miles north of the Timber Creek Campground to the Timber Creek Trailhead on the east side of the highway.
