This trail begins at Glacier Gorge Junction. Scenic Loch Vale is enjoyed while hiking to the beautiful Timberline Falls on the park's east side. The trail then continues beyond the falls to Lake of Glass and up to Sky Pond, 4.6 miles from the trailhead. Loch Vale, Lake of Glass and Sky Pond offer fishing opportunities. Before fishing, check with the Park Service for license requirements, size and possession limits and other regulations.

Directions from Grand Lake: Travel north on Hwy 34 through the Grand Lake Entrance Station. Contiue about 2 miles north of the Timber Creek Campground to the Timber Creek Trailhead on the east side of the highway.
