The Wild Basin Picnic Ground is located on the southeast side of the park, at the Wild Basin Trailhead. It has eight tables but no fire grates. The nearby trailhead accesses Copeland Falls, Calypso Cascades, Ouzel Falls, Ouzel Lake, Bluebird Lake and Thunder Lake.

Directions from Estes Park: Travel south on Hwy 7 to the turnoff to the Wild Basin Trailhead, between Meeker Park and Allenspark, to the west of the Highway. The picnic ground is located at the Wild Basin trailhead.
