Cedar Spring Trail

Cedar Spring Trail is a moderate 3.2-mile hike, beginning at 5,760 feet elevation. The trail connects with the Pacific Crest Trail, along the Desert Divide south of Palm View Peak, at an elevation of 6,400 feet. To Cedar Spring, take the one-mile branch trail northeast off the PCT. The Jo Pond Trail, 11 miles and strenuous, connects to Cedar Spring to the Palm Springs Indian Canyons / West Fork Trail.


Directions from Mountain Center, CA: Travel south on Highway 74, continuing several miles past Lake Hemet (Garner Valley Area, which lies between Idyllwild and Palm Springs). Turn left (east) onto Morris Ranch Road (6S53) where the trailhead is located.
