Things To Do

Myrtle Beach State Park has been one of the most popular destinations in South Carolina since 1935. Hundreds of thousands of families from near and far flock here each year, and for good reason. Here, guests can take advantage of a wide, open beach where sun bathing is highly popular. There is something for everyone here, including fishermen who often take up the fishing pier. For those wishing to settle down and enjoy the scenery, there are also campgrounds in the oceanfront woods. Myrtle Beach is found in the center of the bustling Grand Strand. Myrtle Beach is not only an extremely popular natural retreat, but it is also famous for hosting one of South Carolia's last stands of easily accessible, oceanfront maritime forest. Visitors wishing to learn more about the area can take advantage of programming and a nature center, which offer information about the local dolphins, sea turtles and the abundant bird and plant life that call this place home.
