The National Park Service Monday named Jeff Bradybaugh, a 27-year veteran of the agency, as acting superintendent of Sequoia and King Canyon national parks.
Bradybaugh comes from the top post at Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument in Arizona, where he served for three and a half years.
Before that, he was chief of resource management at Zion National Park in Utah. Bradybaugh takes over in Sequoia and Kings Canyon from Craig Axtell, who retired as superintendent Friday after 34 years with the National Park Service.
