Lady Bug Trail
The Lady Bug Trail leads eastward from the South Fork Campground, following the South Fork Kaweah River for almost two miles. The trail is shaded by oak trees and allows access to several swimming spots. The trail leaves the South Fork Campground at an elevation of 3,600 feet and climbs slightly to 4,400 feet upon reaching Lady Bug Camp. Past the backcountry camp the trail turns northward and begins to gain elevation via a few switchbacks. At this point it also leaves the South Fork Kaweah River, climbing a dry, grass-covered hillside. At three miles the trail reaches a high point of 5,600 feet then descends into a grove of trees that contains a few sequoias next to Cedar Creek.
