Lookout Peak Trail
The trail that leads to the summit of Lookout Peak begins from the Big Meadows Road (Forest Service Road 14S11). The road ends at Summit Meadows southwest of the peak. On a saddle south of the peak the Don Cecil Trail, Summit Trail and Road 14S11 meet. Follow the Summit Trail, which leads north. The trail is one half mile long. It becomes less distinct as you reach the summit. From that point look for the easiest way to the top and continue climbing. Lookout Peak provides sweeping views of the Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks backcountry.
