Knob Mountain and Jeremys Run is approximately 5.8 miles in length with no overlooks or panoramic views of the mountains. What this trail does offer, however, is a moderately difficult walk to one of Shenandoah's most beautiful streams.

Directions from Front Royal, VA: Skyline Drive travels the entire length of Shenandoah National Park. Mile markers are placed along the right-hand side of the road heading south. They are numbered from north to south beginning at the northern terminus in Front Royal, Virginia. Facilities, trails and park features use the mile markers as points of reference. Park in the picnic area just beyond Elkwallow Service Station at milepost 24. Begin on the white-blazed Appalachian Trail which is behind the picnic grove. Take the Appalachian Trail just a short distance to a trail post where Jeremys Run Trail begins. Jeremys Run Trail climbs to Knob Mountain Trail.
