Shenandoah National Park

Marys Rock Trail

The 3.7-mile round-trip hike offers wonderful mountain views. At points the trail can be rocky and difficult. An interesting feature along this path are the rock monoliths. The trail descends approximately 1,210 feet and the return trip is an up hill trek. Folklore says that a young woman named Mary Thornton traveled this path alone to the rocky summit.
